- Provide comprehensive financial analysis and insights to support manufacturing operations, ensuring cost-effective production processes and resource allocation
- Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports, including variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and monthly management accounts for manufacturing departments
- Collaborate closely with operational teams, analysing production costs, overhead expenses, and labor efficiencies to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities
- Participate in the development and monitoring of manufacturing budgets and forecasts, providing guidance and support to operational managers and assisting in the control of expenditure
- Conduct detailed financial analysis of manufacturing performance metrics, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for process optimization and efficiency enhancements
- Assist in the development and implementation of key performance indicators (KPIs) for manufacturing activities, tracking and reporting on KPI performance against targets
- Support the costing and pricing process, including the calculation of product costs, profitability analysis, and pricing recommendations for new and existing products
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, policies, and accounting standards, working closely with internal audit and compliance teams
- Provide financial guidance to manufacturing leaders, assisting in strategic decision-making and helping drive initiatives to improve overall business performance
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and technological advancements impacting manufacturing operations, incorporating relevant insights into financial planning and analysis

- Proven experience as a Management Accountant or Financial Analyst in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and experience analyzing complex manufacturing cost structures
- Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with financial and ERP systems
- Excellent communicator.
- Recognised accounting qualification and experience.
- Team player. Ability to work with a multi-discipline group.
- Excellent IT skills with SAP FICO experience desirable, but the ability to extract, manipulate, analyse and report data in Excel and Access essential.
