- Champion person centered care with all team members in the home to ensure residents are empowered to make, or continue to make, Lifestyles choices relevant and appropriate to them
- To actively engage with residents in conversation and meaningful occupation related to their lifestyle choices at a level and pace that values the individual and respects their dignity and communication differences.
- Experience of organising and scheduling programmes of events or activities, ideally within a healthcare environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with a genuine passion for enhancing the lives of our residents.
- Knowledge of dementia is highly advantageous.

We're based in a quiet nook in Arbury on the north eastern side of Cambridge, three miles from the city centre. Our home offers 24-hour residential care and 36 en-suite bedrooms.
About the role:
The Activities Coordinator, known internally as Lifestyles Coordinator, will proactively engage with and support the activities programme in the Home. They will provide support to ensure other team members and residents know about and are engaged in the activities programme.
Salary:
£12.10 per hour.
Shift Pattern:
20 hours per week, worked between Monday to Sunday.
4 x Five hour shifts per week
Home Location:
Fortescue Road, Cambridge, England, CB4 2JS – 3 miles from the city centre.

We have a team of activities coordinators looking after multiple residents in several communities. It's a busy role. You need to be highly organised with good time management skills. A caring and compassionate nature is essential.
An Athena Activities Assistant would be responsible for:

· Always promoting dignity and respect.
· Enabling as much independence as possible.
· Working to the wishes of our residents and ensuring choice is offered.
· Accurately and comprehensively recording all activities completed.
· Engaging with residents in meaningful conversation.
· Reporting any concerns to line manager.
· Responding to residents needs in a timely and professional manner.
· Working to the Athena Visions & Values.
No experience necessary as full training will be given.
