    JOB ROLE:
    Accounts Assistant


    LOCATION:
    Ilminster, Somerset


    HOURS:
    9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday (37.5 hours)

    SALARY &


    BENEFITS:
    £26,000 - £30,000 PA DOE

    THE ROLE:

    You will be a detail orientated individual with a strong aptitude for numbers and a passion for accounting and payroll.

    As the Accounts Assistant you will play a crucial role in supporting a seasoned team of accountants in various accountancy tasks.


    KEY DUTIES:
    Managing a portfolio of payroll clients, ensuring all payrolls are processed correctly and on time
    Processing payrolls weekly, fortnightly, and monthly
    Arranging pension submissions and ensuring auto-enrolment obligations are fulfilled
    Providing bookkeeping services to clients
    Preparing VAT returns
    Preparing accounts for review by Managers / Partners
    Supporting clients with queriesDO YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING ATTRIBUTES?

    Experience of payroll.
    Prior accounts experience - industry or practice considered.
    Good communication skills to allow for effective communication with clients and colleagues.
    Knowledge of Sage Line 50 Payroll, MS Office and ideally accounting software.
    Good attention to detail and logical approach to problem solving.
