    Description

    Exciting Opportunity for Lead Sim Developer

    We've teamed up with an innovative company in the simulation and training industry

    Our client's mission is to transform the way people are trained by harnessing human performance data in simulation and training and they're looking for a Lead Sim Developer to work on their Simulator.

    What Will You Do?

    • Lead and guide a top-notch development team by nurturing a culture of innovation, refining development processes, and setting high-quality standards.
    • Develop, implement, and optimize simulation software, ensuring seamless integration with our data capture platform.
    • Collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and artists on a daily basis to drive the development process forward.

    Qualifications

    • Strong expertise in C++, C# or even C coding principles and practices, with at least 4+ years of professional experience.
    • Proficiency in Unreal Engine 4/5 and/or Unity.
    • Ideally, 5+ years of relevant experience in the games industry or real-time simulation development.
    • Coding experience with complex technical requirements, networking, graphics (from dev perspective of implementation/optimisation), input systems, complex controls, integrating plugins, integrating hardware, data etc.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with project managers and leads to define, estimate, and meet project schedules.
    • Experience in leading development engineers, including mentoring, scheduling, and task tracking.
    • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas into actionable tasks.
    • Proficiency in debugging and optimizing code, with meticulous attention to detail and quality.
    • Solid multi-threaded programming skills and the ability to thrive in both team and independent settings.
    • Excellent communication skills and a knack for producing clean, well-documented code.
    • Familiarity with source control tools and maintaining internal builds.

    Bonus Points

    • Experience integrating simulation/games with data architecture.
    • Knowledge of human performance data.
    • Previous customer-facing professional experience.
    • Background in gaming, simulation, aerospace, or defense industries.
