    Description

    About the Job

    Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

    • Closely monitor for patient health issues such as obesity, hypertension, diabetes, epilepsy, asthma, COPD, minor injuries, and illnesses
    • Perform ECGs
    • Conduct Metabolic Syndrome monitoring
    • Coordinate with GP surgery for routine reviews like cervical smear screening, breast cancer screening, annual chronic health review
    • Liaise with various health professionals such as dieticians, opticians, chiropodists, etc.
    • Collaborate with pharmacists and contribute to the medicines management committee
    • Assist mental health nursing staff in managing minor injuries and wound care
    • Maintain accurate and detailed reports and records
    • Consult and coordinate with Multidisciplinary team members for patient care
    • Promote physical health and well-being among the service users
    • Provide training for staff on observing vitals, ECG readings, and venepuncture
    • Offer health clinic sessions for the service users

    You:

    As a seasoned NMC Registered General Nurse with an active PIN number, you should have:

    Requirements:

    • RGN with previous experience in a GP surgery setting
    • Capability to maintain documentation, conduct audits, and exhibit integrity in your role
    • A sound understanding of the latest nursing practices
    • A dedication to patient recovery and risk reduction
    • Attributes like compassion, resilience, and commitment to empowering service user independence
