    The role
    As a Service Operations Manager you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Supporting the Service Delivery Manager in the provision of Long-Range communications systems in support of mobile units.

    Day-to-day, you'll support the Service Delivery Manager in the provision of services in accordance with the DSRS contract and be responsible for coordinating operational resources in response to Customer requirements, as well as:

  • Coordinate operational support around maintenance, site works and capability enhancements.
  • Carry out investigations into system failures and reliability problems and maintain accurate records and archive systems, in support of Key Target and performance measurement.
  • Provide line management support and conducting staff appraisals for team members.
  • Liaise with the customer and key stakeholders to ensure service and monitoring and reporting asset status, whilst maintaining continuity of critical communications systems

    • This role is full time and based onsite at Forest Moor.

    Essential experience of the Service Operations Manager:

  • You will have extensive experience and a proven ability in an Operational Management role, with excellent technical and procedural knowledge of radio communications.
  • A good level of computer literacy with proficiency in MS Products
  • An in depth understanding of High Frequency communications would be advantageous.
  • Ability to develop procedures.

    • Qualifications for the Service Operations Manager:

  • ONC / NVQ, BTEC or 'A' Level in a science or technical subject.
  • A Managerial qualification or equivalent experience (Level 3 or Level 4)
  • You will also need to hold a full UK driving licence.

    • Security Clearance

  • The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) clearance for this role.
