- Organize and maintain Arts & Crafts area to create an engaging environment for children, ensuring resources are well-stocked and workspace is tidy
- Implement policies and procedures to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for children
- Design and conduct a variety of age-appropriate creative activities
- Provide safety guidelines for equipment usage and oversee compliance
- Collaborate with team members during sessions
- Ensure overall well-being and safety of children through active supervision
- Engage children in group activities and display prototypes
- Facilitate the Discovery Squad skills builder program
- Coordinate with fellow Instructors if multiple are present
- Safely manage session equipment and maintain cleanliness of work areas
- Experience in Arts and Crafts
- Minimum age of 18 upon contract start
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- Positive, organized, and communicative with initiative
- Enhanced DBS check required
- Participation in Virtual Assessment Event for new Barracudas applicants
- Completion of Online Training annually
- Attendance at Induction Training Day before the camp season
- Assistance with camp pack up at the end of the season
- Prioritize Health and Safety compliance
- Ensure all activities are suitable and within your capabilities
- Promote new activities as per the schedule
- Maintain safe behavior and communicate effectively with children
- Follow camp procedures and support colleagues
- Assist with additional tasks as needed
- Act as a positive role model for children's well-being
- Report any Child Protection concerns
- Accommodate children with special needs or medical conditions
- Possible involvement in Skills Builder sessions based on availability
- Support swimming sessions if required
