    Description

    A renowned engineering design consultancy in Gloucester are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join their residential housing team.

    As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality structural designs for various residential projects, contributing to the growth and success of our consultancy.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead the structural engineering aspects of residential housing projects from concept to completion, ensuring designs meet regulatory standards and client specifications.
    • Conduct structural analysis and design using relevant software tools and methodologies.
    • Prepare detailed calculations, drawings, and specifications.
    • Collaborate closely with architects, designers, and other engineering disciplines to develop integrated solutions.
    • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.
    • Participate in project meetings, client presentations, and site visits as required.
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, codes, and best practices.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's degree preferred).
    • Chartered status (or working towards) with a recognised professional institution (e.g., ICE, IStructE).
    • Minimum of 4 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on residential projects.
    • Proven track record of delivering successful projects on time and within budget.
    • Strong understanding of relevant codes and standards (e.g., Eurocodes, British Standards).
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
