    Default job background
    Description

    Location: Blandford Forum

    Job Summary

We are seeking a decisive Musculoskeletal/Trauma Clinician, experienced in working with adolescents to deliver high standard clinical assessment, intervention and treatments as well as providing complete episodes of care for our pupils.

Working within Bryanston's medical team, this role encompasses injury prevention, triage and assessment clinics, pitch side trauma support, injury management, rehabilitation, and safe return to play. You will be interfacing regularly with sports coaches, performance sports specialists, pastoral staff, parents, and the pupils themselves.

Our medical team provides 24/7 care to our pupils, with the Trauma/MSK/Physiotherapy specialists integrating with our general medicine and mental health teams to provide holistic support to every pupil. Confident communication skills and an awareness of the nuances of boarding school life would be desirable.

Bryanston School is an independent boarding school with superb facilities, situated around the 400-acre site with a multidisciplinary team of clinicians working alongside our coaching staff to maximise the availability and performance of our young athletes.

Hours and salary will depend upon applicants and experience, but there is a team focus on developing the late afternoon/early evening and weekend service provision.

It's an exciting position in a friendly team, and we will consider clinicians from any profession with the right skillset, motivation and flexibility.

Bryanston offers a competitive package in an excellent working environment including:

    Free meals on duty

    Free parking on site

Free gym membership and access to our state of the art sports facilities including a 25m indoor swimming pool

Employee assistance and wellbeing support programme

Staff benefits platform including perks and discounts, travel and lifestyle, cycle scheme and more.

For any queries, please contact Karen Welford, Medical Centre Manager on or

Closing date for applications: Wednesday, 8 May 2024

Bryanston is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Applicants will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are "spent" unless they are "protected" under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.
