    M&N is Hydro International's UK Wastewater Services (UKWWS) team. With around 140 dedicated service professionals operating from five regional offices across the UK, our UKWWS team is the country's largest provider of inlet works support, giving critical support to wastewater treatment plant owners and operators 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We are seeing exciting growth across the business and we are building an outstanding team.

    Responsible for: Responsible for servicing and repairing wastewater equipment together with maintaining industrial equipment including controls fault finding plus commissioning and installing field based electrical equipment for Water Utility companies predominantly in the UK. A Company vehicle will be provided for business use plus PPE and specialist tools required to carry out the role. Physical & Other Requirements:
    • Current valid driving license.
    • Able to carry out work some distance from base which requires overnight stays.
    • Able to work outside on occasion on sites which are connected with wastewater (sewage)
    • Capable of working at heights from scaffold platforms, ladders or mechanical equipment.
    • Undertake training and work as part of a confined space team desirable.
    • Able to participate in repairs and maintenance out of hour's emergency service when required.
    • Able to carry out work tasks that involve physical strength, stamina, standing, kneeling or crouching.
    • Willingness and ability to travel throughout the UK and overseas.
    • Willingness and ability to work on-board ships.
    Competency & Qualifications:
    • Served a recognised electrical apprenticeship
    • Part One & Two City & Guilds or equivalent
    • Hold C&G 2380 (IEE Wiring Regs 17th Edition)
    • C&G 2391 (Inspection & Testing)
    • IEC 60079: Parts 14 & 17 EX01 R, EX02 R, EX03 R & EX04 R (CompEx) desirable.
    • Sound knowledge of Industrial electrical installation and maintenance.
    • Experience in electrical testing and proving circuit and control operation
    • Basic Knowledge of Health & Safety Issues in connection with the construction industry.
    • Ability to record detailed and accurate repairs information relating to jobs.
    • Access and interpret technical instructions using mobile electronic equipment.
    • Ability to prioritise workload and work in a systematic and organised manner to ensure work is completed within set timescales.
    • Ability to carry out site inspections and compile survey reports for quotation purposes using IT & software packages.
    • Carry out fault finding down to Electrical component level.
    • Experience of circuit design and modifications
    • Minimum of 5 years practical experience working on industrial electrical equipment.
    • Experience of working with a range of portable tools, small plant & equipment to enable work to be carried out.
    • Knowledge and experience of Programmable Logic controls within the automation industry desirable.
    • Control panel manufacture/modifications and panel wiring and advantage.
    • Commissioning and setting up of instrumentation and controls.
    • Basic mechanical skills such as fitting bearings, seals and lubrication changes desirable.
    • Conduct the work activities in a professional manner and promote a positive image of the Company.
    • Able to communicate effectively to the customer and company management.
    • To work as part of a team and to co-operate with other staff / trades.
    • IT literate/excellent communication skills.
    Key Duties
    Industrial Electrician aspect:
    • Making safe isolation/disconnect/connect/repairing.
    • Fault finding down to Electrical component level.
    • Stripping and rebuilding machinery/ pumps/ heavy industrial equipment.
    • Planned preventative maintenance (Industrial equipment & pumps).
    • Use of initiative and good team skills is essential to succeed in this maintenance position.
    • Basic mechanical maintenance such as lubrication, adjustments of drive components.
    Commissioning Engineer aspect:
    • Experience of operating and programming of PLC's and HMI's and modifying PLC programs.
    • Evidence of maintenance on electrical process equipment.
    • Sound knowledge of Industrial electrical equipment low to medium voltage.
    • Experience in circuit design and implementation of associated equipment.
    • Experience in electrical testing and proving circuit and control operation.
    • Experience of field/site survey work.
    • Customer liaison .
    • Report writing.
