    Sous Chef – Wythenshawe, South Manchester

    Permanent

    Salary £27,000-29,000 + bonus

    40 hours per week / 7:30 - 4:00pm

    The role and Responsibilities:

    Endress+Hauser are currently recruiting for a Sous Chef in our South Manchester restaurant. You will be part of the Endress+Hauser family, preparing meals in our in-house staff dining facility, serving 50-70 meals per day, not only providing our employees with a choice of freshly prepared meals, but also catering for VIP customer visits, seminars and other organised Company events.

    As a Sous Chef you will be:

    • Assisting the Chef with the smooth running of the restaurant, including the daily maintenance of the kitchen/equipment and serving customers.
    • Running of the restaurant when the Chef is on leave
    • Preparing everything that is needed for the day ahead
    • Maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety

    Qualification + Profile

    • Trained in food preparation/presentation with a recognized qualification in health and hygiene.Ideally, City & Guilds level 1and 2 or an equivalent NVQ.
    • To be highly motivated and have the ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team
    • A flexible approach to working activities
    • Enthusiasm and initiative are a must.
    • Excellent communication and organisational skills
    • The ability to develop good working relationships with colleagues
    • Excellent punctuality and timekeeping
