Our client is a leading plastics lifestyle manufacturer based in Banbury that has been at the forefront of its industry since their conception over 75 years ago.

Due to continued growth within the business, they are looking to acquire the services of an experienced Production Planner to join their team.

Reporting to the Logistics Manager this role will include undertaking factory planning management using Materials Requirements Planning (MRP), undertaking MRP Inventory control of manufactured products and planning, managing and ordering raw materials and packaging to ensure timely delivery to meet the production plan.


Please Note:
This is a full-time, permanent role, working Monday - Friday 8 am pm fully on-site.


Main Responsibilities

  • Maintain running accounts of orders received, work completed, and inventory
  • Match workload, manning, and production capacity to existing inventory
  • Plan and meets production requirements in accordance with forecasted demand levels for all finished and unfinished Stock Keeping Unit (SKUs)
  • Control finished goods and Work In Progress (WIP) inventory to meet planned demand in rotational moulding department
  • Review shortage reports and chase suppliers prior to delivery to ensure orders are on track as scheduled. Reflects any changes against POs by updating the POs on SAP. Works with the Production administrator to achieve this activity
  • Interact with shop floor colleagues daily to resolve issues regarding manufacturing efficiencies and production plan
  • Prepare and submit status and performance reports for specific KPI's
  • Plan and manage the inventory of Raw materials and Packaging to ensure timely delivery to meet the production plan whilst maintaining an accurate stock profile and adhering to cost, minimum load, and space restrictions.
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure uninterrupted supply of raw materials
  • Monitor availability of raw materials for planned manufacture, utilising systemdriven stock availability reports
  • Control raw material inventory to agreed minimum stock levels, planning to a justintime manufacture of these items whenever possible
  • Undertake inventory counting according to the business requirements against raw materials and WIP items, working to the relevant business processes and defined cycles per inventory types

Key Skills

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing Production Planning role is essential
  • Strongly analytical and able to display critical thinking and problemsolving skills
  • Possess a high degree of competency in the use of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Have work experience of MRP systems
  • Ideally have experience of SAP
  • Able to take personal leadership to develop and promote fundamental disciplines and principles through crossfunctional teambuilding.
