Glasgow Kelvin College is the key provider of accessible vocational and core-skills learning in the north and east of the city. We deliver high-quality education from introductory to degree-level programmes to around 15,000 students each year from three campus buildings and through a large network of community-based centres. Key Responsibilities
As part of the Finance and Funding Team the post-holder will primarily support the work of the funding function in respect of student support funds. This will involve:

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
The post holder will hold an Accountancy qualification to HNC (SCQF level 7) or have equivalent knowledge and experience as an alternative to a formal qualification. Ideally, they will have knowledge of Student Funding at FE and HE level or appropriate transferable skills to support this function. They will have a working knowledge of computerised Financial Management Systems, MS Word and MS Excel.
They will also have experience of financial administration and of working in a busy customer care environment, with well-developed interpersonal and communication skills - both written and verbal - and the ability to communicate professionally and effectively deal with staff, students and external partners.
