    Job summary

    Clinical and Care Professional Leads support south east London-wide and borough programmes of work, therefore, there is an expectation that you currently work within south east London, and for borough based roles, within that borough.

    Working closely with the SEL Medicines optimisation team and other borough colleagues to provide clinical support and advice on the development and implementation of national and local prescribing policies and guidance in Bromley. Medicines Optimisation (MO) is an area of activity key to the operational and financial efficiency and clinical effectiveness of the ICS. The primary responsibility of the role is to provide clinical input and strategic support to improve the quality and safety of prescribing. The post holder will be expected to take a leadership role in advising how to improve, maintain and monitor standards of prescribing and medicines optimisation in Primary Care Networks and other locally commissioned services.

    Main duties of the job

    o The post-holder will work with the MOT to support constituent GP practices in Bromley to implement MO and prescribing initiatives, as well as acting as a clinical champion for the delivery of effective and efficient service models. o Offer clinical leadership on the development and implementation of medicines optimisation QIPP (savings, quality improvement and prevention) plans, supporting the development and monitoring of a performance frameworko Contribute to improving quality and health outcomes and reducing inequalities for the people of Bromley in relation to use of medicineso Provide clinical leadership to the medicines optimisation team engaging with stakeholders as appropriate

    Qualifications

    Essential

  • Qualified care and/or clinical professional NMC, HCPC, social work register, GMC etc. Educated to Masters level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in specialist area.
  • Desirable

  • Certificate / qualification in programme management, service improvement or transformation
  • Experience

    Essential

  • Experience of transformational/innovative service delivery, productivity and/or transformation policy implementation.
  • Desirable

  • Previous experience of being part of peer networks and collaborative working
  • Cross organisational and/or professional boundary collaboration experience
  • Knowledge

    Essential

  • An in-depth understanding of health and care provision and awareness of current ICS/system policies and priorities
