You will have the opportunity to apply your problem-solving skills to troubleshoot challenging technical issues, analyse image data and contribute towards a large range of research projects in the CRUK CI.

The Microscopy Specialist reports directly to the reports directly to the Light Microscopy Facility Manager, Andreas Bruckbauer and will be part of a team of currently four facility staff supporting research assistants, research associates, clinical fellows, and PhD students from the research groups.

The role holder would possess in-depth experience in confocal microscopy and image analysis at a level sufficient to provide training to inexperienced users.

Expertise in other advanced microscopy techniques such as Super-Resolution microscopy or Light Sheet microscopy is desirable (required for the Senior Scientific Associate).

Ideally you would have experience of working in a Microscopy Core Facility team and will possess excellent communication and teamwork skills.
