    Job summary

    The role of Senior Clinical Educator (SCE) is an important role within EMAS Education and contributes to the delivery of taught programmes, aswell as supporting divisional practice development and annual educational updates. Alongside the formal teaching requirements there is a busyteam of educators to lead, support and manage as part of the role. The Senior Clinical Educator will work in an educational leadership team and may be responsible for any aspect related to Education Management, Quality and Compliance and Education Development.

    The Senior Clinical Educator is accountable to the Deputy Head of Education for the delivery of the service by providing leadership, expert knowledge, skill and direction in the design, implementation and evaluation of education

    Main duties of the job

    You will need to be confident to lead a team of clinical educators and manage education provision which will include contributing to the teaching and assessing across the education centres. The successful applicant will be supported by a team of peers and the Deputy Head of Education alongside the Head of is extremely important that as a SCE that you build close relationships the divisional management teams to ensure that learners are supportedboth within and outside of the education centres by both the education and operational management teams. You will also need to supportdivisions/directorates with educational development and practice development, as part of this role. You must therefore be able to practice clinically to provide an operational response in accordance with your clinical registration where to recent developments within education, you must be confident to deliver blended learning and utilise online systems (for example MSTeams/virtual learning environments) to deliver taught content/sessions. You must also commit to your own continuing professional development.

This particular opportunity is only open to candidates who currently hold formalised teaching/assessor qualifications and have current experience of teaching all contemporary programmeswithin EMAS Education. You will need to embrace the EMAS Trust values and be committed to developing and delivering high quality clinical education which is student will have a teaching, assessing and mentorship qualification with demonstrable evidence of work based teaching. You must be willing toundertake professional development.

  • HCPC State Registered Paramedic OR Registered Nurse OR Registered allied health professional
  • L4 Teaching Qualification L3 Assessing Qualification L4 Internal Quality Assurance Qualification
  • Relevant health care related degree or evidence of working at that level
  • 5 years operational experience as a paramedic or equivalent
  • Desirable

  • Minimum of 2 years operational experience as a Paramedic or equivalent
