    Senior Quality Assurance Engineer - Cambridge, United Kingdom - Marshall Group

    Description

    Join Marshall as a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer! Marshall presents an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to ensure contractual commitments are met in terms of quality requirements, product traceability, and product release procedures (issuing of CofC).

    Responsibilities:

    • Understanding Quality and Project requirements.
    • Identifying and mitigating quality risks.
    • Overseeing product sign-off process to assure customers their requirements are fulfilled.
    • Providing quality advice throughout the product lifecycle.
    • Identifying root causes of quality issues and implementing corrective actions.
    • Collaborating with stakeholders to promptly resolve quality issues.
    • Liaising with Quality representatives at suppliers and subcontractors.
    • Reviewing and accepting Supplier Quality Plans.
    • Assessing suppliers' capabilities and competence.

    Tasks:

    • Compiling and maintaining the Product Quality Assurance Plan.
    • Reviewing contract amendments for quality impact.
    • Supporting Customer audits and product acceptance activities.
    • Conducting independent audits to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
    • Evaluating product-specific issues and processes.
    • Providing feedback on quality performance and KPIs.
    • Participating in FMEA development.
    • Training on quality matters.

    Requirements:

    • Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills.
    • Lean Manufacturing knowledge.
    • Understanding of ISO standards and Health and Safety practices.
    • Experience in management and Lessons Learned facilitation.
    • IT proficiency in Microsoft applications.

    Education:

    • BS in Management or Engineering or equivalent.
    • Membership of an industry-related Professional Body desirable.
    • Lead auditor qualification.

    Experience:

    • Prior similar position experience desired.
    • Ability to lead and support teams.
    • Extensive quality experience including audit, traceability management, and change control.

    Additional local requirements:

    • Hold a full UK driving license for occasional Customer/Supplier visits.
