- Understanding Quality and Project requirements.
- Identifying and mitigating quality risks.
- Overseeing product sign-off process to assure customers their requirements are fulfilled.
- Providing quality advice throughout the product lifecycle.
- Identifying root causes of quality issues and implementing corrective actions.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to promptly resolve quality issues.
- Liaising with Quality representatives at suppliers and subcontractors.
- Reviewing and accepting Supplier Quality Plans.
- Assessing suppliers' capabilities and competence.
- Compiling and maintaining the Product Quality Assurance Plan.
- Reviewing contract amendments for quality impact.
- Supporting Customer audits and product acceptance activities.
- Conducting independent audits to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
- Evaluating product-specific issues and processes.
- Providing feedback on quality performance and KPIs.
- Participating in FMEA development.
- Training on quality matters.
- Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Lean Manufacturing knowledge.
- Understanding of ISO standards and Health and Safety practices.
- Experience in management and Lessons Learned facilitation.
- IT proficiency in Microsoft applications.
- BS in Management or Engineering or equivalent.
- Membership of an industry-related Professional Body desirable.
- Lead auditor qualification.
- Prior similar position experience desired.
- Ability to lead and support teams.
- Extensive quality experience including audit, traceability management, and change control.
- Hold a full UK driving license for occasional Customer/Supplier visits.
