    Job Opportunity:

    Are you passionate about investigating performance issues and proposing enhancements for the various components of a System-on-a-Chip in Mobile Phones? Do you have a keen interest in evaluating the performance of Arm's upcoming CPUs, GPUs, and Interconnect IPs while they collaborate seamlessly?

    The Client Performance Analysis team at Arm comprises dedicated engineers who strive to uphold our dominance in mobile computing by assisting our partners in creating exceptional products. Through in-depth competitive analysis, intricate workload characterization, and advanced software modeling, we consistently influence Arm's engineering teams and partners.

    Role Overview:

    You will become part of the Systems Performance Analysis team in Central Technology as a System Analysis Engineer. Your main task will involve conducting experiments in a pre-Silicon SoC environment to analyze the performance of various Arm components (CPU, GPU, etc.) using scenarios similar to those encountered on mobile devices. You will contribute to the implementation of these scenarios and gain insights into their performance on future mobile devices. Identifying potential bottlenecks and proposing effective solutions will be within your purview.

    Key Requirements:

    • In-depth knowledge of computer architecture.
    • Proficiency in Python or Ruby, Assembly language (preferably Arm assembly), and programming languages like C or C++.
    • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively in teams and with colleagues from different departments and locations.
    • Proactive and driven attitude.

    Desirable Skills and Experience:

    • Proficiency in Unix, scripting, and source control systems (e.g., Git, Subversion).
    • Familiarity with one or more CPU instruction sets.
    • Knowledge of SystemVerilog.
    • Understanding of ARM architectures.
    • Experience with compilers and/or device drivers.
    • Ability for creative problem-solving and thinking laterally.
