    *High5 Recruitment* have another exciting role to fill in the Children's Residential Care sector and are now looking for a *Registered Manager for a 6-bed LD Home in Ashford, Surrey. *

    • This role would be ideal for a current Registered Manager who is perhaps feeling ready to manage a larger home and already has a footprint of managing the day to day operations.*
    • Operational Responsibilities:*
    • Meeting the unique needs of children and actively promoting their development
    • Collaborating with parents, carers and professionals to safeguard and promote the welfare of our children and young people
    • Manage the home and ensure the efficient operation of the service in accordance with the relevant legislation, procedures, policies and the Statement of Purpose for the home
    • Achieve a quality service; aiming to achieve a 'Good' or 'Outstanding' OFSTED rating
    • Managing and supporting the home's staff team, providing supervision on a regular basis, assessing staff performance and providing some training
    • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the Children's Homes Regulations 2015, OFSTED inspection framework, other relevant legislation and guidance and company policies and procedures
    • To ensure recommendations or requirements from inspection reports and Regulation 44 reports are addressed and resolved within designated timescales
    • Provide written reports for reviews and other meetings requested by the management team. Ensure that relevant actions identified at such meetings are implemented accordingly and in a timely manner

    • We would like to ensure we appoint a Registered Manager who will share the company's values surrounding the children's care being at the heart of the service. *
    • You will be responsible for *overseeing the operation of a children's residential home, staff management, regulatory compliance, budgeting, maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders and encouraging an open culture. You should have sound knowledge of the Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and associated Quality Standards.
    • You are a Manager* who aspires at all times to a standard of excellence in all areas of working practice and act as a professional in your role to inspire others. *You are an excellent leader* who sets standards and acts with integrity.
    You are someone who still *likes to challenge yourself, *and is committed to ongoing personal and professional development.
    • We do have an essential criteria:*
    • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England) OR currently working towards completion
    • 2 years' in a supervisory/management role within Children's Residential Care/Supported Accommodation for Care Leavers
    • On-call-out-of-hours service
    • In-depth understanding of the needs of children with complex Learning Disabilities
    • Significant managerial experience, including compliance with Ofsted requirements
