    Description
    Purpose

    We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Platform Engineer to join our dynamic team.

    The ideal candidate will have a strong infrastructure, Platform, and database administration background, focusing on automation, release processes, and code quality.

    As a Platform Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our development and release pipelines' efficiency, security, and scalability.

    Job Role Accountabilities

    Infrastructure as Code (Iac). Manage infrastructure using configurations such as Terraform.nContinuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD). Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.nMonitoring and Logging. Ability to monitor application performance and use alerting and logs to track behavior.nCloud Service Management. Deploy and manage resources on the cloud, such as Azure.nSecurity and Compliance. Implement best security practices throughout all infrastructure and applications.nCollaboration and Communication. Collaborate with development operations and other members of staff to streamline and automate services.nManaging Kubernetes clusters

    Examples of Key Activities

    Knowledge of a development language and ability to apply it to infrastructure / micro-servicesnWorking on ways to automate and improve development and release processes (CI/CD)nExcellent problem-solving and ability to seek solutions and documentnWorking alongside colleagues to oversee and aid code releases using bespoke toolingnReview code written by others, providing constructive feedback if needednIdentifying security risks in code and systems and implementing measures to mitigate risknStay updated on industry best practices and standardsnEnsure smooth and reliable deployment processes, minimizing downtime and maximizing system availabilitynKnowledge of cloud platforms and resourcesnExperience with Infrastructure as CodenFamiliarity with relational and non-relation databases (SQL/MONGODB)

    CTO and DBAs

    Key RelationshipsnJob Title RelationshipnCTO Collaborative working with the development teamsnData Science team Collaborative working with Heads of and team members
