Great Britain's electricity system is undergoing an ambitious, exciting and vital transformation. The Energy System Operator (ESO) are now looking for a Vulnerability Manager, reporting to the Head of Security Operations.

The Vulnerability Manager will manage a team of analysts who will identify, assess, prioritise, and remediate vulnerabilities, while spearheading process improvements, leveraging technological advancements within the field.

This role can be based from Wokingham or Warwick, and we continue to offer hybrid working from office and home.

As Great Britain's electricity system operator (ESO), we sit at the heart of the electricity system, using our outstanding engineering and commercial expertise to balance electricity supply and demand.

In 2021, government and Ofgem jointly consulted on proposals for an expert, impartial Future System Operator (FSO) with responsibilities across both the electricity and gas systems, to drive progress towards net zero while maintaining energy security and minimising costs for consumers.

Manage and mentor a team of analysts, supporting personal development and training.
Identify, assess, prioritise, and remediate vulnerabilities across the IT infrastructure, systems and applications.
Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, such as IT teams, business units, vendors, auditors, and regulators.
Develop and implement vulnerability management policies, standards, procedures, and best practices.
Provide security guidance and leadership on vulnerability management projects, initiatives, and strategies.
Experience in scripting or programming (Python, Bash, PowerShell, Etc)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate the impact and importance of detailed technical information to non-technical and senior audiences.

Managing and building relationships with customers and stakeholders.
A competitive salary between £65,000 – 75,000 – dependent on experience and capability.
