    What you will be doing

    :

    We're looking for a smart and kind Site Reliability Engineer to join our team. We sit at the heart of the technology team and contribute everywhere from the earliest stages of new products to guaranteeing the reliability of the ones our customers already rely on.

    As a member of the Pipeline squad within the Infrastructure tribe, you will work alongside others in SRE and Security Engineering in the support of the rest of the Technology organisation as well as the wider company as a whole.

    The Infrastructure tribe focuses on the underlying systems, tooling, and services that help our developers bring our products to life and keep our services safe and healthy once in production. We work on standardising some of the important areas - such as how we use cloud infrastructure, our data systems, our deployment pipeline, and our observability services - so that the product teams can focus on building and running their applications.

    The Pipeline Squad builds the tools that allow Engineering to move at speed, safely, while also managing the infrastructure that underpins everything we do at Complyadvantage. Recent projects include moving our container registry to a cloud-agnostic platform, building a standardised deployment mechanism, and introducing multi-architecture builds to all teams at ComplyAdvantage.

    Our Tech Stack:

    • Our technology stack is designed to run on public cloud architectures, notably AWS and GCP
    • Everything is deployed on Kubernetes, with a container-first approach.
    • Development is organised around Kotlin and Python for our backend languages and TypeScript/ES6+React for our frontend stack
    • We make substantial use of relational database technologies, notably Postgres, Yugabyte
    • We also use an event-sourced model powered by Kafka for our communication bus and gRPC for our intra-service communication protocol
    • We use modern observability solutions from Grafana Cloud, and deploy our code using ArgoCD

    We have a strong emphasis on engineering excellence and strive to ship the best possible code and the best possible solutions to our customers.

    About you:

    As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will

    • Demonstrate expertise in Cloud services, e.g. AWS or GCP
    • Have experience with Containerised workloads on Kubernetes, deploying via Helm
    • Expertise with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Crossplane)
    • Have experience with a workflow engine like Argo Workflows
    • Know the secure software development lifecycle
    • Automate tasks using Python or Go
    • Demonstrate expertise with CI/CD tooling
    • Have worked with software engineers supporting production cloud-native applications
