    Community Volunteers Enabling You (COVEY) has operated across Lanarkshire for 31 years supporting 4,500 children,young people and parents/carers to become more resilient, safe and better equipped to reach their fullpotential.

    COVEY provides 1-1 and group-based befriending, mentoring and intensive family support.

    COVEY has an exciting opportunity available for a Coordinator to manage delivery of 1-1 and group-based befriending/mentoring support to children and young people.

    COVEY's consistent relationship-based support, which is centred on the participant's needs, interests and hopes,improves health and wellbeing, social connections, confidence and increases their engagement with education,training, volunteering or employment.

    As a Coordinator, you will have the ability to work collaboratively with children, young people, their families andothers who support them.

    This will involve engaging with various, community, statutory and voluntary agenciesand working in close partnership to support vulnerable families.
    You would ideally have experience of supporting volunteers, managing a caseload, evaluation and monitoring. flexible working (including flexi-time)

    COVEY are seeking a passionate, professional, proactive and caring individual to provide support to families who areexperiencing difficulties or challenges in their everyday lives such as loneliness and isolation, poor mentalhealth, illness, disability, poverty, gender-based violence, separation, or trauma.

    We provide 1:1 and/or groupsupport to families in their home and within the community.
    The successful candidate will provideperson centred support to children, young people and adults.

    The focus of our work involves the ability to quickly build rapport with a wide range of individuals, to ensurepositive longer-term outcomes for families.

    Working hours are generally through the week, with occasional evening work required. (Hybrid office-based/workingfrom home)

    Ourthree-pronged approach aims to empower young individuals across various stages of their development:

    Primary/Secondary Transitions Programme:

    We will provide support for P7, S1, and S2 young people as they transitionfrom primary to secondary school, fostering empowerment, confidence, and improved self-esteem in a non-schoolenvironment.

    Expanding on our successful volunteering mentoring initiative, we offer diverseopportunities for young volunteers, connecting them with roles both within Pavilion and through our network ofschool partnerships and community collaborations.

    Focused on enhancing pathways for Junior and Senior Club participants, we integrate life skillsdevelopment seamlessly into existing activities. From goal-setting exercises, certificated activity programmesto accredited learning and further training opportunities.

    We are seeking a Programme Coordinator to lead the delivery of this project as well as managing the Attainment Worker& Volunteer Development Worker posts attached to this project.

    Being creative, innovative and ideas driven, to support delivery of multiple programmes of activity and be able toforge strong positive relationships with partners are key attributes for this post.

    The postholder will beresponsible for taking a coordinated approach to implementing activities with young people that address the keyidentified issues affecting them, ensuring their needs are addressed and pathways created that help them tosucceed.

    The postholder should have experience working with a range of age groups and are able to demonstrate experience intaking a youth-led approach to service delivery.

    There will be an expectation to travel to the Glasgowoffice when required.

    Working closely with colleagues across a range of roles/functions, you will support the Head of Service in theoperational management and leadership of services to achieve positive outcomes for children, young people, andfamilies.

    You will also line manage and support Team Managers across your area in all aspects of leadership,development, and implementation of existing services and strategic growth.

    Responsibility for decision making with Service delivery staff and Team Managers where this relates tochild/adult protection in line with includem policies and procedures.

    Ensure service levelagreements/contracts are implemented effectively and adhered to through proactive monitoring.
    Leadservices contribution to bid and tender writing processes, including attendance at interviews/presentations asrequired.
    Support and encouragepractice that reflects a robust risk enablement approach.
    Ability to deliver training e.
    Extensive experienceof supporting children, young people and families alongside up to date knowledge of legislation and bestpractice.
    Provide support to Team managers in all aspects of performance management and successionplanning.
    Accountable for quality of services delivered within remit.
    SVQ 3 in Social Services with Children and Young People, or equivalent, is essential.
    Ability to drive with access to a car.
    Ability to evidence workpractice that embraces equality and diversity.
    Experience of identifying, managing, escalating, andreporting of child or adult protection concerns.
