    Description

    British Airways - Planning Engineer Position

    We are thrilled to present an exciting opportunity for a Planning Engineer to join the vibrant world of Operational Maintenance Planning on a full-time basis with British Airways in Heathrow.

    Role Responsibilities:

    • Maximize opportunities within the maintenance plan and key assets through data analysis.
    • Influence the allocation of resources across departments and projects to achieve operational and financial goals.
    • Apply engineering principles in decision-making and planning processes.
    • Ensure effective communication with stakeholders, suppliers, and customers in a timely and accurate manner in alignment with company standards.
    • Possible stand-in for Team Leader when required.
    • Participate in process improvements to enhance cost-effectiveness and overall value.
    • Optimize the utilization of hangars, manpower, components, and downtime through efficient task scheduling.

    Key Qualifications:

    • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
    • Extensive experience or high awareness of maintenance tasks in aircraft maintenance planning.
    • Ability to plan effectively in a dynamic and complex environment.
    • Clear and effective communication skills with customers and suppliers utilizing various mediums.
    • Proficiency in IT with a focus on SAP, AirOps, and Excel.

    Requirements:

    • Minimum of HNC/HND/degree in an approved Engineering discipline.
    • Completion of a recognized Engineering Apprenticeship or relevant industry experience.
    • Familiarity with EASA regulations, including Part-M and Part-145.
    • Understanding of Aircraft Maintenance Planning processes.
    • Desirable to have aircraft technical knowledge and operational understanding.
