    MPS- UPS3 + SEN allowance (GBP2,539) Our client is a well-established Special School, serving secondary-aged pupils with EHCPs mainly relating to SEMH but often with other associated needs such as MLD, ASC.

    The school have development plans for the future to enhance their offer and welcome more students.

    The school have always and are building on the opportunities they create for their learners by providing access to services.

    They are seeking an experienced Science Teacher specialising in any of the science subjects although you'll be delivering general science.

    Individuals that are skilled in recognising individual emotional and educational needs and who are able to respond to and create accessible learning activities & opportunities around the needs of learners will be well-suited.

    If you have already had training in positive behaviour management such as Team Teach / PBM / MAPA and/or THRIVE training we would be particularly interested in hearing from you although we can offer you training if you're successful in being appointed.

    Experience of working with children who have had to overcome barriers and difficult situations
    The ability to engage parents in supporting children at home by helping to set boundaries and managing behaviour
    The desire to go through training and deliver ideas so that ideas can be implemented.
    Passionate about working with young people in education
    Are committed to safeguarding young people and helping them overcome difficulties

    Of course there are difficult days but if you thrive on making difference ad enhancing opportunities for learners that don't follow a traditional education pathway, you'll enjoy this role.
