    Default job background
    Full time, Permanent
    Description

Location: Hybrid - flexibility to work from home and at any of our main hubs (London, Bristol, Manchester and Milton Park - Oxfordshire)

Jisc is the UK digital, data and technology agency focused on tertiary education, research, and innovation. We are a not-for-profit organisation with a big ambition to improve lives through education and research by providing hardware, software, and networking solutions.

Join us and your contribution will help us to empower UK universities, colleges, research institutions and wider customers with technology so that everyone prospers.

    About the role:

As an Associate Licensing Manager, you will help strengthen our portfolios in Research, Teaching, Learning and Assessment, and Corporate Information Systems, and enterprise-wide agreements for our members and customers.

By working collaboratively with the broader licensing team, you will develop high performing agreements and agreement clusters that allow institutions to operate sustainably, securely, and with flexibility.

Through this role you will develop your understanding of our members' requirements such as financial, legal, systems, and workflows. You will work with the team to translate these into highly valued and innovative agreements. You will monitor and evaluate your portfolio of agreements in line with Jisc's licensing's product management frameworks using data and sector feedback to make recommendations to enhance and improve individual offers and the portfolio.

As this role will sit across our 3 portfolio areas of Research, Teaching Learning and Assessment, and Corporate Information Systems, you will be able to work collaboratively and hone your skills and experience and work at the forefront of digital innovation and technologies.

    Key Skills and Experience:

    • Knowledge or experience in a higher or further education institution, at a vendor, or in licensing. Experience in a library, research office or in the academic publishing industry, would be ideal.
    • Knowledge or experience in digital transformation, customer management, support, or business development.
    • An understanding of the higher or further education environment, university, or college finances.
    • An understanding of licensing, contracts, copyright, open research and open access publishing.
    • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills, ideally knowledge of institutional central information systems and relevant products.
    • An understanding of information technology, ideally in software or emerging technologies.

Please refer to the job description for full details.
