    In this role, you will:

    As a Senior Quality Engineer at KAYAK, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and world-class customer experience of a major international travel website. In collaboration with development, design, and product to define features and products and then complement our extensive test automation base with your user-centric creative exploration, identifying and reporting issues and user experience improvements. You will mentor several other QA Engineers and coordinate their work. This is a great opportunity for a skilled professional who is passionate about testing and is eager to contribute to the successful delivery of their team.

    We are seeking a team member who could work from the office for at least 3 days each week.

    Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with development and product managers to identify, document, and analyze product quality requirements and acceptance criteria using best practice of early involvement.
    • Own testing process in your team, making sure testing is done on time and with good coverage.
    • Mentor and coordinate work of several other QA Engineers.
    • Plan and monitor the development, implementation, and execution of test automation in your area.
    • Assist with triaging defect backlogs to manage the backlog size well.
    • Identify high-priority issues using an array of production observability tools to ensure timely resolution.
    • You are the "voice of quality" in your team, suggesting process improvements throughout the development lifecycle.
    • Work on scheduled and unscheduled releases based on On-Call rotation.

    Please apply if you have:

    • Proven experience of 3+ years in software testing.
    • Demonstrable experience in creating and implementing comprehensive test plans and providing early feedback to the requirements.
    • Hands-on experience in exploratory testing techniques.
    • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes, including Agile and Kanban.
    • Knowledge and experience with web test automation tools like Selenium, WebdriverIO, Cypress, Playwright.
    • Solid understanding of bug lifecycle.
    • Proficiency in written and verbal/oral communication
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
    • Strong teamwork skills with clear and timely communication, pro-activeness, and a sense of ownership for team results.
    • Continuous improvement mindset, able to work with your development team on process self evaluation.
    • Time management and task prioritization skills.

    The following will help you stand out:

    • Experience with Atlassian products (Bamboo, JIRA, Bitbucket, etc.).
    • Experience with or exposure to software development in a CI/CD environment.
    • Good understanding of version control tools like Git and their workflows.
    • Experience with observability/monitoring tools like Kibana.
    • Experience with a large-scale, customer-facing, continuously available web-based product or service.
    • Experience in accessibility testing would be advantageous.
    • Mobile testing experience would be a substantial benefit.
    • API testing experience would be a bonus.
    • Empathy for understanding different user perspectives.
