    GENERAL DESCRIPTION

    Ocean Winds is an international company dedicated to offshore wind energy. We develop, finance, build and operate offshore wind farm projects all around the world. Ocean Winds has a global presence, headquartered in Madrid, we primarily target markets in Europe, the United-States, selected parts of Asia and South America.     As Ocean Winds operational portfolio is increasing there is a requirement for a 'Senior Contract Management Associate' to support the management of long-term operational and maintenance agreements, and the development of associated business processes and strategies.

    MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

    The role will include certain responsibilities, for example:

    • Acting as or supporting the Service Provider Representative on key operational contracts.
    • Ensuring Ocean Winds meets its obligations under each service delivery contract.
    • Creation of procurement strategies, including contract drafting and negotiation.
    • Development and management of multiple large-scale budgets, including monthly reforecasts and reporting of performance at senior management and board level.
    • Working with colleagues and stakeholders across the wider Ocean Winds business to develop solutions to complex technical and commercial matters.
    • Supporting Ocean Winds O&M and Asset Management strategies and process development programmes.
    • Maximise value and revenue for Ocean Winds through each agreement.
    • Engaging and maintaining relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

    REQUIRED ACADEMIC SKILLS AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

    The applicant should be:

    • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Contract or Commercial Management equivalent qualification. Applicable professional experience will also be considered.
    • Experienced in managing complex contracts within the renewable energy sector, particularly the onshore or offshore wind farm environment would be beneficial.
    • A general understanding of energy markets, infrastructure and associated regulation and policy would be advantageous.
    • Experience and thorough knowledge of SPV or JV company governance is essential.

    SKILLS/ COMPETENCIES:

    • Competent in all pre contract activities including the creation of procurement strategies, contract drafting and negotiation, and contract award.
    • Experienced in monthly financial and accounts management processes.
    • Possess the required commercial management skills, capable of developing and managing multiple large-scale budgets, including reforecasts and reporting.
    • Experienced in managing and administering multiple forms of contracts operating as the nominated point of contact.
    • Ability to engage and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of business.
    • Proficient with all Microsoft 365 Software Packages, including the capability to manage and manipulate large volumes of data in Excel, and preparation of Power Point presentations.

    LANGUAGES:

    Ocean Winds has an international team of employees, and the working language is English. Candidates need to be fluent in English both spoken and written. Proficiency in other languages will be valued.

    LOCATION/ MOBILITY:

    The main office location for the role will be Edinburgh, Scotland. However, as Ocean Winds operates a global portfolio, travel to projects in the portfolio and to other global corporate offices will be required.

    Ocean Winds also operates a remote working policy, where employees are entitled to work some days from home.
