Agenda have an opportunity for a Service Technician to support the daily care and welfare of laboratory animals by providing essential equipment and consumables, and maintaining the facility environment.

This position is based at Agenda's growing researchfacility in Sandwich, Kent. With fully supported training and development, this role would suit an organised individual who enjoys practical tasks.


Essential Requirements:


  • Can work as part of a team and independently when required
  • A good communicator
  • Can organise workflow and prioritise tasks

Desirable requirements:


  • Experience of working in a research or laboratory environment
  • Experience of working with cage wash and sterilisation equipment
  • Experience of managing stock inventories for consumable items

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Cleaning and sterilisation of all cages, equipment, substrate, bedding materials, environmental enrichment, food, water and consumables for use within the animal facility.
  • Cleaning and maintenance duties throughout the animal facility, working to a high standard of cleanliness and health and safety at all times.
  • Waste disposal.
  • Accepting deliveries of consumables and maintaining stock inventories.
  • Communicating with facility team mates to ensure appropriate provision of service and support.
