- Positively and proactively contributes to the strategic direction and management of the department as a member of its Corporate Executive.
- Develop and ensure the implementation of departmental standards, policies, procedures and guidelines pertaining to the parks management and visitor services functions, management of the division, and the delivery of outcomes.
- Provide policy and specialist advice to the Minister, Director General, Deputy Director General, Conservation and Parks Commission and other relevant parties.
- Create a strategic direction for the division, aligned with the department's strategic directions and values, and provides leadership, creativity and initiative.
- Ensure sound strategic, operational and business planning and management for the division.
- Provide leadership of change management initiatives relevant to the department and the division.
