    Job summary

    Purpose of the role

    There are a number of aspects to the Education and Visitor Services Manager role.

    You will manage three Information Officers who provide a high standard of visitor experience - staffing the Court�s reception and operating the switchboard and public enquiries inbox; giving tours to a wide range of groups; delivering education programmes and projects; organising and delivering event hires and devising and producing content for the Court�s social media channels.

    You will provide effective management and leadership to the team, in a fast-paced environment, setting clear direction and priorities. You�ll make sure they are ready to meet the day's demands, co-ordinating roles for a busy team.

    You will also lead on the Court�s visitor access strategy for visitors with disabilities.

    You will provide leadership for the exhibitions programme and contribute to the production of information videos.

    Key responsibilities�

    Actively contribute to meeting the objectives of the change programme, focusing on our people, culture, and processes, putting user needs at the heart of everything we do.�

    Management duties including recruitment, reviews, development, and performance reviews.�

    Lead on and manage the Court�s Visitor Access Strategy, improving and promoting access to the Court for all visitors. Including managing the delivery by third parties of disabilities training for customer facing teams, British Sign Language tours and Special Educational Needs sessions.�

    Lead on the Court�s education and outreach function, including Debate Days, Moots and Ask a Justice, educational tours and the development of new programmes and resources. Ensure that the diversity targets for these programmes are met.�

    Organise and deliver exhibitions for the Court. Including managing the existing exhibition and assisting the development of new temporary exhibitions.�

    Lead on event hires of the Court�s spaces, for both paid clients and pro bono groups, ensuring that events are planned and delivered efficiently.�

    Deliver on KPIs and provide reports, visitor metrics and feedback metrics for management reports.

    Person specification

    Excellent management skills and ability to lead, influence and develop others.

    Excellent communication skills with exceptional written and verbal skills - ability to communicate clearly and effectively with others at all levels and influence positive change.

    Experience of exercising sound judgement in dealing with a difficult situation.

    Ability to work at pace on multiple high-profile projects at the same time and remain calm under pressure.

    Excellent project management skills to plan and deliver events and exhibitions in a high-profile establishment.

    Ability to plan and run education / outreach programmes, achieving specified learning outcomes.

    Understanding of event management organisation and delivery.
