    Operating across multiple branches in the UK, Crouch Waterfall is a forward thinking Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy working on railway infrastructure, temporary works, buildings, bridges, highways and geotechnics. Established since 1981, the business has enjoyed steady growth driven by a committed and highly skilled workforce of over 110 employees.

    Geotechnical Engineer:

    Crouch Waterfall are currently experiencing strong growth with exciting opportunities and are looking for a flexible, practical engineer who can grow with the company to achieve the goals of the business in parallel with their personal ambitions.

    The position requires a BSc, BEng or MEng Engineer ideally with a minimum of four-five years' experience in Geotechnical Engineering. Ideally the candidate would be someone who is keen to diversify and encompass the scope of our project remits which cover domestic and commercial structures, rail, bridge and temporary works in both the public and private sectors. The candidate should be conversant with engineering software.

    You will be supported and supervised by the Directors and Principal Engineers within the office and work in close conjunction with the other offices. The ideal candidate should be proactive, dynamic and intuitive, happy to work on their own initiative as well as being a team player and interacting comfortably with the other staff members. The candidate shall be approaching chartership with a recognised body.

    The Role:

    • Design of geotechnical structures in the temporary and permanent case
    • Design of civil and structural schemes and / or providing input into schemes designed by other disciplines
    • Review and checks of other schemes prepared by others
    • Carrying out out inspections and surveys of geotechnical structures and preparing reports
    • Understanding feasibility / option studies
    • Working with cognisance to project programmes
    • Providing guidance and training to more junior staff members where applicable

    To be considered for this design role we require the following experience, qualifications, skills, knowledge and attributes;

    • Relevant Engineering degree
    • 4-5+ years' experience
    • UK driving licence and own transport would be useful but not imperative
    • To live and work in the UK and high standard of written English

    What will I receive in return?
