    PAYROLL TEAM LEAD (BPO Payroll Processing environment).

    Job Purpose:

    The Symatrix Managed Services Teams offer a range of services to our Customers:

    • Application support, covering the entire suite of Oracle HRMS products, including HR, Self Service, Learning Management, Recruitment and Payroll on both E-Business Suite and HCM Cloud
    • Hosting and DBA Services
    • Business Process Outsourcing for HR Administration and Payroll Solutions
    • Testing as a Service (TaaS).

    The Payroll Team Lead will provide a first point of contact for specified BPO Team Customers:

    • Providing a positive, personal, responsive and efficient service to all customers
    • Providing the fastest route to Customer resolution
    • Setting clear expectations and following-up on what we say
    • Recognising & respecting differing levels of technical knowledge and adjusting your communication style accordingly
    • To maintain Customer satisfaction (which will be monitored through Customer satisfaction surveys).

    Main Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Resolve & provide advice and guidance on Payroll queries from employees, HMRC and other 3'rd-parties
    • Ensure that confidentiality of Customer data is maintained at all times
    • Provide scheduled Payroll Reports
    • Support the BPO Manager in providing regular service delivery reports and attending Customer service review meetings
    • Customer advisor on Payroll legislation
    • To work in-line with all Payroll processes as per documented manuals
    • Document changes to Customer process and procedures
    • To plan the workload and checklist of the Customer for each Months' Payroll and ad-hoc cycles
    • To supervise and plan the workload of Team members to ensure HR and Payroll data is input and processed in a timely and accurate manner to ensure continual SLA adherence
    • Support the Team to ensure that they deal with all Customer telephone enquiries in-line with the applicable SLA
    • Perform regular catch-ups and annual PDRs, including setting-up and monitoring the Team's objectives
    • Supporting the BPO Manager with Team planning and monitoring annual leave.
    • Work with cross-departmental Teams, both internally and with the Customer, to deliver exceptional service
    • UAT (User Acceptance Testing) of any System changes
    • To work in line with the Symatrix ISMS
    • To undertake any other reasonable / appropriate duties, to ensure the smooth running of the Company
    • To support new Customers when required, the on-boarding of new Customers and UAT of new Customer solutions
    • To highlight continuous improvements to the HR and Payroll processes to drive continual service improvement

    Person specification – Knowledge / Experience / Skills / Qualities:

    ESSENTIAL:

    • PROVEN Supervisory & Team Leading experience
    • ABILITY to assimilate information & to follow Instructions
    • DETAILED knowledge of UK Payroll legislation
    • UK BASED (& you must be able to commute to our Manchester (City Centre) Office)
    • PROVEN and EXTENSIVE experience of UK Payroll Administration
    • SOLID knowledge of Data Protection and Information Security regulations
    • SOLID / FULL EXPERIENCE of large UK Payrolls
    • SOLID EXPERIENCE of working in a fully managed Payroll environment
    • FULL & DETAILED EXPERIENCE of working for an outsourcing provider
    • A positive "can do" approach (to work & generally)
    • ABSOLUTE COMMITMENT to delivering the highest standards of Customer care
    • ABILITY to work in a fast-moving, dynamic Environment
    • DEMONSTRABLE / PROVEN ability to build and maintain strong relationships with Customer peers
    • EXCELLENT / OUTSTANDING personal communication skills
    • Including a VERY GOOD Telephone manner
    • OUTSTANDING inter-personal skills
    • VERY STRONG Team-player
    • EXCELLENT problem-solving skills
    • CURRENT / Up-to-Date or PRIOR experience of Oracle HR and Payroll (E-Business or HCM Cloud)
    • FULL EXPERIENCE of Oracle HRMS Implementation / Projects

    DESIRABLE:

    • Experience of Systems Support (Payroll Systems)
    • Experience of a Help Desk or Service Desk
    • Experience of reporting tools
    • Detailed knowledge of UK HR legislation
    • Experience of working in a Team when a new HR & Payroll solution has been implemented
    • CIPP QUALIFIED
