- Oversee the day-to-day operations of our leisure complex, ensuring efficient staffing, cost management, and exceptional customer service.
- Lead and motivate a team members, including shift leaders and supervisors, while recruiting additional staff for peak seasons.
- Manage rotas, conduct performance appraisals, and provide ongoing training and development for team members.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including maintaining valid qualifications such as NPLQ and First Aid certificates.
- Collaborate with department managers to optimise departmental performance and guest satisfaction.
- Manage budgets, monitor revenue and costs, and contribute to financial reporting and forecasting.
- Handle guest complaints and feedback with professionalism and efficiency, striving to exceed expectations in the customer experience.
- Previous management experience within a leisure complex.
- Current NPLQ qualification with lifeguard/leisure experience.
- First Aid Certificate and valid Enhanced DBS Certificate.
- Flexible schedule, including availability to work weekends and bank holidays.
- Driving licence preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with a passion for team development.

Location: Hunstanton - Norfolk
Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum Contract: 12-month Fixed-Term Contract Company Overview: With over 83 years of history, the resort boasts top-notch facilities including a clubhouse, restaurants, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and an 18- and 9-hole golf course. This is a family-run multi-faceted leisure complex with over 250 staff members across multiple sites. The Hunstanton site welcomes over 3000 guests during peak months and offers a range of amenities which need to be managed. What are we looking for? The ideal candidate for the Operations Manager position will have a strong background in leisure management, particularly in overseeing swimming pools, with a preference for being PPO Qualified and NPLQ Qualified (Desirable). While direct poolside duties may not be the primary focus, the ability to provide coverage if necessary is advantageous, showcasing versatility and readiness to support the team. This role also presents to possibility to relocate on site during employment if you wish to do so. Additionally, the ideal candidate can demonstrate proficiency in written communication for tasks such as emails, administrative duties, and complaint handling.
