The primary purpose of JLR Event Vehicle Operations (EVO) is to prepare and maintain fleets of vehicles to the highest possible standards both dynamically & aesthetically for a broad range of business requirements. These range from a single vehicle for a motoring journalist or other VIP's, through to fleets of up to 200 vehicles to support launch events or other significant marketing needs. The workshop is also responsible for discharging all vehicle preparations for Show/Photo and Press events.
As a Transport Supervisor you will operate within our EVO Fleet Operations team and will be responsible for the planning and execution of the transport operation including distribution to and from Fen End, Classic and other JLR sites in a customer focused and timely manner.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
• Effectively supervise and plan driver and vehicle resources to achieve delivery and collection times in line with SLAs.
• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure vehicles are ready for dispatch.
• Ensuring legal compliance in line with JLR policy and legislation including but not limited to defects, preventative maintenance, MOT.
• Pre-Brief and Debrief of all drivers ensuring company standards are maintained and adhered to.
• Ensure the timely download of tachograph data from vehicles and drivers
• Set and report out effective KPIs and status data for warranty and fleet operations.
• Managing annual leave, absences, and Creators Code Conversations (121's) with direct reports
• Where required provide relevant training to others in supporting the role.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
• Full driving license with no more than 6 points and no disqualifications.
• Understanding of Transport legislation and driver's hours rules
• Supervisory experience in a similar environment
• Understanding of Transport legislation and driver's hours rules
• Computer literate with good understanding of Microsoft packages (Word/Excel/PowerPoint)
• Good analytical skills and statistical ability
• National / International CPC (Transport Manager) would be advantageous but is not required
