- Placing and managing Purchase Orders
- Stock review and management
- Liaise directly with suppliers to ensure purchase orders have been received and request acknowledgements
- Update internal system with confirmed dates for raw materials and advise sales of any delivery issues
- Inputting customer sales orders onto the system as a sales order
- Manage customer sales orders, liaise direct with the customer for any stock shortages & advise of new delivery dates when required
- Liaising with carriers/hauliers to book transport and ensure correct documentation is in place to avoid any delays in the import and export of material
- Arranging import and export clearance documents as and when required, provide customs broker with the necessary clearance instructions and documents to compete customs procedures
- Ensuring evidence of import/export is obtained from freight companies
- Ensure all relevant month end procedures are completed Skills Required:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Competent computer skills, especially with Microsoft Excel/Word and Outlook
- Ability to work as part of a team supporting colleagues where necessary
- Positive and pro-active attitude with the ability to work under pressure
