- Interpreting contract documentation and specifications ensuring that equipment is designed and manufactured in accordance with industry regulations and project specifications
- Producing a high standard of 2D general arrangements and layout drawings for manufacture
- Producing a high standard of 2D detailed drawings to enable engineering tradespersons to manufacture machined and fabricated parts

My client in Blaenavon is currently in need of a design engineer due to continual growth.
My client is a leading manufacturer of materials handling equipment (OEM) specialising in dry bulk solids material and powders handling/processing. With a strong global presence, they are renowned for delivering high-quality equipment to a wide range of industries, serving prestigious companies across sectors such as petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, food, and aggregates sectors.
Requirements:
Candidate will have a mechanical engineering qualification or demonstrable experience. They will have a sound knowledge of fabricating, welding, and machining processes along with a good understanding of materials handling equipment, from technical and manufacturing aspects, (screw conveyors, mixers, belt conveying, metering feeders, discharging aids)
Candidates are required to have excellent 2D (essential) & 3D (desirable) draughting skills whilst the ability to interpret P&ID drawings would be advantageous.
The duties of the role are:
Taking part in production/project review meetings to ensure timescales are adhered to
Creating parts lists, bills of materials and identifying materials and proprietary items to be purchased for manufacture to ensure timely arrival of required materials
BENEFITS:
Monday to Thursday 07.30 to 16.00 Friday 07.30 to 12.00
Salary: £38k / £42k
Location: Blaenavon
