    Job Description

    WANTED: DATA ENGINEER with AZURE EXPERIENCE

    Location: Remote, with occasional meetings as required

    Salary: Up to £80,000 per annum

    Background Check - this is a highly regulated environment, you will need at least three years permanent UK residency to meet the criteria - no visa or sponsorship available.

    Company Overview

    This pioneering company is positioned at the forefront of a ground breaking data revolution within a specific niche market. As such we are seeking an experienced Data Engineer with specialised skills in Microsoft Azure and Databricks to help us harness a significant yet untapped data opportunity. You'll be coming into the team at the very early stages which will enable you to build out structure, architecture, processes and data roadmap that will be so exciting to be involved in.

    As such the key responsibilities are as follows:

    Key Responsibilities

    Data Processing and Architecture: Design and implement scalable data processing platforms using Azure services, with a focus on Azure Data Factory and Databricks.

    System Development: Develop, test, and maintain robust data architectures including large-scale data processing systems to meet business needs.

    Optimisation: Enhance data flow and collection processes to align with both functional and non-functional business requirements.

    Collaboration: Work closely with system architects, software architects, and analysts to develop and refine data requirements and solutions.

    Security and Compliance: Ensure all solutions adhere to security best practices and compliance standards.

    Required Experience and Skills

    Experience: At least 5 years of experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on the Microsoft Azure ecosystem, including use of Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks.

    Technical Skills: Expert knowledge of SQL and familiarity with various data architecture frameworks.

    Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of managing complex data systems projects.

    Communication: Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex information to non-technical stakeholders.
