To provide quality support in the Royston production environment in relation to both product quality and process conformance. Assistance in maintaining compliance to ISO9001 and supporting improvements to achieve compliance to IATF16949.

Your responsibilities:

• Provide direct support regarding product and process quality in the production environment.
• Support effective problem resolution using robust problem-solving methodologies and analysis techniques.
• Review defect data, report priority actions using the Johnson Matthey Production System methodology and lead projects to actively reduce defects.
• Create and communicate internal quality documentation including quality standards, updates and instructions to production departments and confirm effective implementation.
• Manage non-conformities including the containment of quarantined material and ensure segregation.
• Manage material release processes and approve material release including incoming material release, internal process release and customer batch release.
• Support audit activity including completion of internal audits and support of external audits.
• Collate product and production process approval data (PPAP).
• Create and approve certificate of analysis (CoA) and certificate of conformity (CoC) prior to shipping.

Requirements for the role:

• Experience in a Quality (QA/QC) role within a complex manufacturing environment.
• Experience in Core quality tools and their application (APQP/FMEA/PPAP/SPC/MSA/Problem solving/Six Sigma).
• Experience effectively applying problem-solving tools to solve concerns.
• Computer literate with experience in Microsoft Office (Excel/PowerPoint/Word/Outlook, SharePoint, etc.)
• Experience of product release processes including the management of non-conformities.
• Engineering/Scientific Degree or equivalent relevant experience.

Johnson Matthey is open for discussion on part time, job share and flexible working patterns.

This is a shift role and during the establishment and start-up phase of the facility, there is an expectation regarding the degree of flexibility required. As the facility becomes more established, the working patterns will be adapted to meet the business requirements. Employees in shift roles will be communicated to regarding the changes by their team leader/ manager and reasonable notice of such changes will be provided.
