    THE BUSINESSnWestray Recruitment Group are seeking a Project Engineer to join our client based in Aberdeen.

    Working within the oil & gas, energy & power, petrochemical and water industries, the company provides independent, bespoke solutions including service, repairs, and complete replacement of pumps and rotating equipment.

    We service and repair all variety of pumps to blue chip customers in the UK and abroad; from multi-stage, high-pressure units to small, over-hung end suction pumps.


    THE ROLEnThis role requires an experienced engineer with extensive knowledge of rotating equipment, who will support the workshop manager in producing reports such as inspection reports, repair plans and rebuild reports.

    Working closely with the service department and the workshop manager, you will advise on best manufacturing practices for restorative projects and produce and distribute bill of materials (BOMS).

    The Project Engineer will work with most departments from start to end of jobs and will therefore have a good understanding of the operational process.


    Produce Bills of Material (BOMS) for different processes to assist service department and to establish cost.nCreate report of required repairs of rotating equipmentnProduce relevant documentation crucial to each job such as inspection reports, rebuild reports and repair plans for internal departments and customersnEnsuring all parts are available on time for workshop – liaising with various departments and suppliersnWorking with the quality department to ensure all jobs and relevant paperwork is compliant and best practice.nSupport the workshop manager with any other tasks when required.


    THE PERSONnMechanical Engineer, either time-served or degree-qualified is essentialnExperience in rotating equipment is essentialnProficiency in Microsoft software and using an ERP system.nAn understanding of pump systems and testing methodologies.

    nKnowledgeable of reverse and mechanical engineering processesnExcellent attention to detailnAbility to manage time and workload effectivelynGood communication and customer service skills
