Social Venture Development Coordinator – London Social Venture Fund Project - London Metropolitan University
Description
ABOUT US
Transforming lives through excellent education
London Met is an extraordinary institution. Equity and social inclusion have always been our driving principles, and it's what makes the University so unique. Our organisation is distinctive, both in its eclectic and diverse community of students and staff, and for its historical role in serving some of London's most deprived boroughs. Everything we do is underpinned by our philosophy that an individual should have the opportunity to transform their life through the power of education.
Equipping our students with the tools for their future is at the heart of our academic offering. We pride ourselves on providing our students with access to a wealth of opportunities and professions. Our graduates benefit personally, but also contribute their unique perspectives to society, culture, public service and the economy in all areas of London, the UK and around the world.
ABOUT THE POST
Are you passionate about driving social change through innovative ventures? The London Social Venture Fund (LSVF), supported by Research England, is seeking two visionary Social Venture Development Coordinators. As a cross University venture, one post will be based at University of the Arts London (UAL) and another at London Metropolitan University (LMU).
As a Social Venture Development Coordinator, you will play a vital role in helping new ideas that can make the world a better place get off the ground. You'll work with universities and students, guiding them as they turn their big ideas into real businesses that can help people. This means helping them understand how to get their business started, connect with people who can fund them, and find their first customers. You're not just doing a job; you're helping create businesses that will make a big impact in society.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Candidate Note: If you have a preferred work location (UAL or LMU) please state in the further information section of your application.
