- To provide a high profile, highly visual grounds maintenance service on estates.
- To speedily respond to grounds maintenance issues within communal areas on estates identified/reported by residents and officers
- To complement the work of the Council's Grounds Maintenance contractor, identifying areas that need their attention.
- To carry out inspections of estates and blocks
- To drive up customer satisfaction in the grounds maintenance service
- To carry out works to tenants' private gardens within the set criteria
- To work closely with the Housing Maintenance Operative
- To liaise with residents and the local community, requiring excellent customer service skills.
You must be able to demonstrate the following:- Ability to manage and prioritise a busy workload
- Confidence, enthusiasm and a flexible approach
- Proficiency in the use of pesticides and horticultural power tools
- Proven ability to learn and utilise new software
- Being able to work on your own and with others
- Have a full driving licence and be able to drive a council owned, small size van
