    Description
    Pertemps Exeter are looking for a mobile plant fitter for our clients based on the outskirts of Exeter. As Mobile Fitter you'll be based from your local service centre traveling to different locations to maintain and repair all equipment within our range, providing an onsite service to customer. This will include diagnosing and repairing damaged or faulty machinery, keeping accurate and comprehensive service and maintenance records. It is also really important that you communicate effectively, ensuring that you are Line Manager and Customers are kept informed as required.

    Job Type: Full-time
    Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 (dependant on experience)
    Hours: 42.5 hours per week (with overtime available for the mobile role)

    Responsibilities:
    • Repair and maintain all the machinery within their range.
    • Diagnose faults, perform inspections, and carry out necessary repairs.
    • Conduct routine servicing and preventive maintenance.
    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
    To succeed in the Fitter role, you will bring the following skill set and behaviours:
    • Prior experience in a mechanical background, NVQ level 2 or a city & guilds qualification in a relevant sector.
    • Able to work as part of a Team, supporting colleagues
    • Flexible and self-motivated, you will be keen to embrace new training opportunities, which may on occasion require staying away from home
    • Great communication skills - both verbal and written
    • Customer-Focused with a commitment to delivering an excellent service
    • Effective planning and organisation skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
    • A valid driving licence with no more than 6 points
    As part of this role, you will need to be flexible and self-motivated, you will be keen to embrace new training opportunities, which may on occasion require staying away from home. The company are keen to provide support for further qualifications.
