    Plant Designs are London's foremost design-led indoor plant experts, providing quality service to office workspaces and events.

    We design, install, and care for some of the city's most innovative plant displays, working with over 350 clients to bring the benefits of planting to their buildings.


    The Role:


    We are looking for an experienced manager to head up our growing Horticultural Services department and assist with the development and coordination of our horticultural team members, fulfilling high service quality standards to our clients.


    Objectives & Responsibilities:
    Directly manage the Horticultural Services department, responsible for the supervision and development of horticultural team.

    Working closely and running regular meetings with the management team who oversee the department.

    Implementing clear standards, guidelines and protocols for the department and communicating this with the team.

    Overseeing recruitment, onboarding, training and performance reviews for team members.

    Assessing overall success and efficiencies of the department in terms of profit, coordination and quality service.

    Overseeing daily rota of the department, involving the scheduling of a team of 20+ horticulturalists to work on 350+ client sites in various locations across London, with plans to continually grow the team as the company expands.

    Assessing scheduling procedures to make the business more efficient.

    Working across various platforms and systems to collate and distribute information.

    Approving holidays and handling absences including sickness or other incidents involving team members.

    Implementing high level service standards across the department as well as companywide with the objective to retain customers and continually grow the business.

    Promoting H&S and staff wellbeing across the department.

    Holding a leadership position in the company and contributing to overall business growth.


    Candidate Skills & Experience:
    Strong leadership skills and ability to manage large teams of people, encouraging teamwork and collaborative company culture.

    Demonstrative planning and practical experience in scheduling a large remote team who work across multiple locations.

    Experience with scheduling software or rota desirable.

    Quick-thinking, flexible, and adaptive to the constant changing of circumstances within the department and company.

    Strong communicator who is personable and professional to both external clients and internal staff.

    Excellent written and spoken English.

    Highly competent IT and administrative skills. Particularly advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities.

    Excellent problem-solving and time management with ability to work in fast-paced environment and deal with regular changes.

    5+ years of office experience minimum.

    2+ years of management experience minimum.

    This is a full-time role, 40 hours a week from 8.30am-5pm.


    This role will be based in our office in Farringdon, Central London as well as occasionally working in our West London base in Greenford.

    Starting salary of £45,000 (subject to experience).
