The Trustees at Victorious Academies Trust would like to appoint a Deputy Headteacher role at Buckton Vale Primary School, Swallow Lane, Carrbrook, Stalybridge, SK10 3NU.

To start 1st September 2024
This role is a full-time permanent Deputy Headteacher role Leadership 5-10 Our Trust's vision is to support young people to develop the aspiration, motivation and to be successful; we have high ambitions for all young people in our academies and all roles at our Academy are central to ensuring that we work to support this. The Deputy Principal / Headteacher will be a Senior Education Leader working with the Principal/Headteacher to drive the academy forward including:

• focusing on achieving the academies aims and objectives with a view to achieving the Ofsted status of 'outstanding';

• ensuring the effective and efficient day to day management of the academy;

• taking responsibility for the academy in the absence of the Principal / Headteacher;

• taking responsibility for child protection issues as appropriate;

• taking responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the academy;

• taking responsibility for the academy's provision for pupils with special educational needs;

• taking responsibility for managing the pastoral care of pupils; and

• taking responsibility for leading part of the school.

The nature of responsibility for this post will vary as the academy develops. The remit of this role is outlined in the School Teachers' Pay and Conditions Document including the conditions of employment for Deputy Principal teachers and the National Standards for Teachers.
