- Use of our virtual learning platform to report on attendance, attainment and engagement for all tutoring sessions.
- Liaise with schools, local authorities, Fleet Education Services or other key stakeholders to inform and support the pupil or learner you are working with.
- Complete training as required and commit to safeguarding principles.

- Bachelor's level degree or teaching qualification (QTS/QTLS).
- Minimum 6 months teaching/tutoring experience.
- Experience working with learners with SEN, SEMH learning needs.

Passionate Functional Skills tutors needed to support young learners in the West Midlands.
Fleet Education Services is a provider of high-quality one-to-one and small group education programmes for schools and local authorities that support learners both in and out of school. We provide impactful, quality assured tuition, delivered by the best tutors who all share in our aim to ensure that every learner we support thrives.
What we are looking for
We have learners who need you to make a difference to their lives now; this is your opportunity to provide enduring, holistic in-person support to young people referred to us that demonstrate additional learning requirements or who are struggling to meet age-related academic expectations. Your skill and expertise will play a leading role in improving their self-confidence and subject knowledge, ultimately becoming a positive influence during their journey throughout education. Learners referred to us will generally require tuition either in their own homes with a parent/guardian present for the session, or at their school.
Opportunities to act as an in-person tutor will be available throughout the West Midlands, in areas such as Birmingham, Coventry, Dudley, Wolverhampton, Walsall and Solihull. Applicants with excellent availability for in-person tutoring will be provided considerable hours on a weekly basis, including daytime opportunities.
If you're an engaging teacher or tutor, experienced in supporting Functional Skills and who would relish the opportunity to work with learners in their own homes or schools delivering tuition on a 1:1 or small group basis, then we'd love to work with you.
Learners referred to us may demonstrate complex learning requirements - distinct experience of working with children who present the following will be advantageous:
