- Title: Camp Manager
- Reporting to: Head of Operations
- Contract: Seasonal position during school holidays.
- Hours: Weekdays from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. Full season or part-season roles available
- Directly supervise a team of appointed staff to ensure the delivery of top-quality care and activities at Ultimate Activity Camps.
- Inspire your team to provide exceptional activities by setting a positive example with your enthusiasm.
- Ensure adherence to all camp policies and procedures, including health and safety and safeguarding protocols, for yourself, your team, and the children under your care. Introducing new procedures may be necessary to enhance camp operations and maintain a secure environment.
- Organize Camp Induction Day for your staff before the camp commences.
- Collaborate with the Early Years Leader to consistently meet Ofsted requirements on camp, directly engaging with inspectors as needed.
- Communicate regularly with Head Office, addressing any inquiries or issues that arise during the day.
- Serve as the main point of contact for parents onsite, both in person and over the phone, providing feedback on any issues that arise.
- Establish communication with the Host School, meeting their representatives to ensure the efficient functioning of the camp.
- Manage all administrative tasks on camp, including sign-in/out processes, registration, staff schedules, and timetable adjustments.
- As Ultimate Activity Camps offers various specialized programs in addition to the multi-activity program, Camp Managers must collaborate with the staff of these programs to ensure smooth operations.
- Address any challenges that arise in the dynamic holiday camp environment.
- Prioritize the well-being of all children in your care and ensure that childcare services consistently meet high standards to cater to the diverse needs of children.
- Uphold the promise of 'Inspiring Children Every Day' at Ultimate Activity Camps and exhibit professional behavior that aligns with the company's expectations.
- Demonstrate high levels of energy, enthusiasm, and professionalism, serving as a positive role model for children and staff at the camp.
- Qualified or working toward a childcare, teaching, or coaching qualification, with substantial experience working with children.
- Natural leadership qualities with managerial experience, preferably in holiday camps, childcare, teaching, or coaching.
- Strong interpersonal skills, excelling in face-to-face customer service. Candidates must feel comfortable conversing with parents and school staff.
- Proficient in camp activities. Willingness to temporarily oversee groups in the absence of suitable cover.
- Effective decision-making capabilities, able to promptly assess situations and make sound judgments.
- Proactive and diligent, capable of adapting to changing circumstances when necessary.
- Seeking a challenging yet enjoyable role during the holidays to advance a career in childcare, teaching, or coaching.
- Hold a Paediatric First Aid certification (12-hour or 6-hour).
- Receive paid pre-camp training to prepare for your role as an Ultimate staff member.
