    Cyber Security Engineer

    Salary:
    £80 to £90k (based on candidate experience)

    Package:
    Bonus (Discretionary) + Company Benefits + Pension Scheme

    Hybrid Model: 3 days per week in Central London, 2 days remote

    About the Client and the Role:

    My client, a globally renowned financial sevices organisation has an amazing opportunity for a seasoned security professional to join their Security team as Security Engineer on a permanent basis.

    Core function of the role is to provide expert hands-on input within the security team, with the goal of maintaining & continually developing security throughout the complex on-premises financial infrastructure, tools and platforms.

    Responsibilities will include deploying and integrating processes, tools and technologies (using Python), and automating tasks (Ansible).


    Main Responsibilities:
    Deployment and integration of security technologies using Python (and other languages such as PowerShell)
    Lifecycle management of security tools and technology platforms
    Build and deployment pipeline technologies and integrating security technology
    Python scripting for various purposes
    Supporting security tools and technology (e.g. CyberArk, ArcSight, Carbon Black, McAfee, SIEM tools etc.)
    Developing Security Incident and Event Monitoring (SIEM)
    Automation of security tasks (Ansible / Atlassian Stack)
    Maintain software version and patch management for security products
    Assisting DevOps with integration of security features


    Essential Candidate Requirements:
    Knowledge of Security Tools (ideally 2 or more of: Trellix, CyberArk, ArcSight, Carbon Black, McAfee, SIEM tools etc.)
    Strong Python Scripting skills
    Solid hands-on experience of SIEM technologies
    Experience of Automation (Ansible / Jenkins)
    Professional background in Financial environments
    Knowledge of Encryption and authentication technologies
    Demonstrable experience with other languages e.g. PowerShell / Bash
    Knowledge and understanding of security standards, frameworks, best practices
    Relevant Security Certification / Educational qualification (e.g. CISSP)
