    Description

    The client is a public research university in London, United Kingdom, and a member institution of the federal University of London.

    It was founded in 1894 as the Northampton Institute, and became a university when The University was created by royal charter in 1966.

    The Electrical Maintenance Tradesperson shall be responsible to the Electrical Maintenance Manager for:

    • Carrying out electrical maintenance both reactive and planned on a range of equipment including AHU's, pumps, pressurisation units, lighting, emergency lighting, controls, and power distribution systems.
    • Responding in a 'hands-on' capacity to Critical Plant breakdowns and undertaking remedial action in the field.
    • Assisting in weekly auditing by means of percentage checks the quality of works carried out in the field.
    • Carrying out routine inspections of plant and systems during each shift.
    • Assisting in management and control of spares inventory, requisitioning replacement parts and consumables from stores.
    • To provide support to the wider Property and Facilities Team and project works when called upon.
    Experience as an electrician or equivalent working on the electrical services installations within buildings on a large estate.
