As the Mechanical Engineering Lead at AVK you will play a critical role in driving innovation, ensuring product integrity, and delivering successful outcomes in mechanical engineering projects.
Responsibilities for this role include:
- Project Management: Leading and coordinating mechanical engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Team Leadership: Supervising a team of mechanical engineers and technicians, providing guidance, mentorship, and support throughout the project lifecycle.
- Design and Development: Conceptualizing, designing, and developing mechanical systems, components, and products using CAD software and other tools.
- Analysis and Testing: Conducting analysis, simulations, and testing to evaluate the performance, reliability, and safety of mechanical designs.
- Problem Solving: Identifying engineering challenges, troubleshooting issues, and implementing effective solutions to optimize mechanical systems and processes.
- Collaboration: Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software engineers, project managers, and stakeholders, to ensure seamless integration and alignment of mechanical designs with overall project objectives.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards, codes, regulations, and best practices in mechanical engineering.
- Documentation: Creating technical documentation, reports, and specifications detailing design requirements, methodologies, and outcomes.
- Continuous Improvement: Staying abreast of emerging technologies, trends, and advancements in mechanical engineering, and integrating innovative practices to enhance project outcomes and efficiency.
- Client Interaction: Engaging with clients, understanding their requirements, addressing concerns, and fostering strong relationships to facilitate successful project delivery.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in mechanical engineering, with a focus on design, analysis, and project management.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and other engineering tools for design and analysis.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret technical data, perform calculations, and make informed decisions.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead teams and collaborate across departments.
Solid understanding of mechanical principles, materials science, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and other relevant engineering disciplines.
Knowledge of industry standards and regulations governing mechanical design and manufacturing processes.
Experience with project management methodologies, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
Creative problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to overcoming engineering challenges.
Commitment to quality, accuracy, and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
